Referral Information
For Patients
Patients seeking information about the hospital, or wishing to schedule an appointment with a BWH physician, should call the Patient Referral Service number: 1-800-294-9999. This number is staffed 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Patient referral representatives can help patients choose an appropriate physician and then schedule an initial appointment with that physician. For your convenience, bilingual patient referral representatives are on staff.
For Physicians
To reach a physician at BWH, or to receive additional information about the hospital's services, call the toll-free Physician Referral Service number: 1-800-MD to BWH (1-800-638-6294). This number is staffed 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A representative can direct you to the physician with whom you wish to speak, as well as facilitate consultations and second opinions. Extended service coverage is anticipated; until that time, after hours, you may leave a voicemail message, and your call will be returned promptly.
Directions to Conference Rooms
Thorne Building Directions: The Thorne Building is between exit 6 and 7 on the Pike. The Hollenberg Conference Room is on the 3rd Floor of the Thorn Building, Room 316. When you get off the elevator, the conference room will be directly in front of you, but you will need to go around the corner to the left, to the entrance. The combination of the lock on the door is 5432. Press each number separately.
Swift Library Directions: From the Main Entrance at 75 Francis Street, take the Amory Elevators to the third floor. Turn right out of the elevator and proceed down the hall to the first door on the left. There are signs on the wall for the Swift and Abramson Libraries. Turn left there, and the Swift Library is at the end of the hall, last door on the right. It is Room 076.
Directions to the Neurosciences Conference Room: *From the main entrance of the hospital, bear right (Au Bon Pain will be on your left). Continue straight until you see a set of stairs (Citizens Bank ATM will be on the left), turn right and walk down the hallway. Continue along hallway, past the Connors Center for Women and Newborns and up a small flight of steps. You will pass the mail services on your left before you arrive at Building A, Institute for the Neurosciences located on your right, (there will be a lit-up red exit sign there). Turn right, walk down the hallway and enter through a set of doors. The Neurosciences Conference Room will be on your right, room AB-146.
Directions to the Cardiac Surgery Conference Room: Located at 15 Francis Street, Division of Cardiac Surgery, 2nd Floor (Pike), CA200. Go all the way down the Pike towards 15 Francis St., once facing Carrie Hall Conf. Rm. take a right.
