The Center for Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetics at 天美传媒l provides compassionate, comprehensive care for inherited disorders and a wide range of medical conditions or abnormalities identified in a baby before birth.

Our team includes experts across many teams, including maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancy), reproductive endocrinology, ultrasound and imaging, neonatology, genetics, social work, and nursing.

We offer care at our main hospital in Boston (75 Francis Street) and at additional locations throughout Greater Boston. Our maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancy) specialists work closely with neonatologists from the Department of Pediatrics to deliver specialized care after your baby is born. If needed, your baby can receive treatment in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) immediately after birth.

The team specializes in evaluating and treating , which is a condition that results in underdevelopment of the left side of the heart. We also specialize in the care of monochorionic twins (twins that share the same placenta).

Genetic counseling

The Genetic Counseling Service provides expert support and information before, during, and after pregnancy. This team is made up of genetic counselors, geneticists, maternal-fetal medicine providers, and neonatologists.

Perinatal consult

The Perinatal Consult Service offers timely consultations for referring physicians both inside and outside Brigham and Women’s. We consult on a wide range of maternal, pregnancy, and fetal issues that may pose a pregnancy risk. We understand the need for urgent evaluation and care planning. Appointments are typically available within 24 hours.

Ultrasound

The obstetric ultrasound unit at the Center for Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Genetics offers an array of comprehensive ultrasound evaluations including first trimester assessments, fetal anatomy evaluations, and specialized imaging using color, pulsed Doppler, and 3D imaging.

We thoroughly evaluate babies at every stage of development in the womb. Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists and ultrasonographers collaborate with neonatologists, geneticists, genetic counselors, and nurses to provide comprehensive assessments of and treatment for fetal disease.
